TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Vigo County three-year-old wild night turned helpful in a matter of seconds.
It happened around 8:00 Wednesday night in the southern part of the county.
Parents Chris and Ami Essex say their son, Alex, was beyond tired…and acting crazy.
“He was jumping on my stomach…running full force at the couch and plopping on…nothing bad…just crazy. Like three-year-olds do,” Chris said.
That all changed when he found a brush for the family’s vacuum cleaner.
“For some reason, it was on the floor in the kitchen. He found it…and it flipped everything around,” Ami said.
Alex reportedly took the brush, and spent the next minute working to reattach it to its proper spot on the vacuum.
“After that, he was pretty chill. It’s like he had a job, did it, and that’s what he needed. Plus, it truly was helpful,” Chris said.
Parents admit, Alex was the one who likely placed the brush in the kitchen. FTN’s unnamed source says there’s a chance Ami could have done it too.
Alex has always had an interesting relationship with the vacuum.
“He’s always been intrigued by it. One time, when he was little I caught him giving the vacuum a kiss, telling it he loved it. It was pretty damn cute,” Ami told us.
