TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (FTN) – A Terre Haute dad says he is worried about the day his toddler connects the dots between his food and the animals in his books.
Chris Essex, 35, is the father of two-year-old Alex.
Chris says he is worried about the day his son realizes he is eating chicken while he also reads a book with a chicken inside.
“Chicken scares me. If he eats hamburger…it’s not like you say you are eating cow…it’s hamburger. But with chicken…you are eating ‘chicken,’ Chris said.
Alex even has a chicken toy.
Chris told us he also worries about fish, saying his son love Nemo and Dory…along with looking at fish in the fish tanks at Meijer.
“Look, he really one wants to eat like three things…chicken and fish are two of those things…I’m worried for the day he puts that together. All he would eat after that would be Mac and cheese, tater tots, and bananas….scary,” Chris said.
When the day comes, Chris said he will be honest with Alex, but says he isn’t looking forward to it.
